Retention Disses

I know corporate culture loves to teach and train the practice of “retention”. Honestly, it gets to be a little too much when they tell you upon leaving GoodLife the staff says in a guilt-ridden manner “We’ll miss you.” cue puppy dog eyes. No one keeps me with guilt or clever sales statements. Your best shot would be discounting the service cost. Even still though… I don’t want anyone else but me deciding what I pay for and where I go on a regular basis.¬†

Let’s talk about Cooperatives

I am tired of the Employee to the Employer ownership model of our economy. We can do better than this outdated Capitalism. I feel the only reason we aren’t is because we are discouraging the practice of relationships in Business from our Schools. We are encouraging delusions of “being your own boss”. We aren’t looking at “What is the practical way of becoming a more democratic economy?”

Goal: I want to be one of the nice people.

If they tell you that this is The Good Place. Even after everything goes wrong that can go wrong. You are in a bad place! However, if you are dumb & optimistic enough you will still think it is The Good Place long after you are proven it is hell. Truthfully Nice optimists are the most tyrannical people we all ever meet because there is nothing more tyrannical than forcing attitudes of civility.
